Hibernian Aviva, the country’s largest insurer, has doubled its roadside rescue resources in flood hit areas of the country and has significantly increased the numbers of staff available to help customers notify the company of claims.

Hibernian Aviva, the country’s largest insurer, has doubled its roadside rescue resources in flood hit areas of the country and has significantly increased the numbers of staff available to help customers notify the company of claims. The company has also extended its opening hours over the weekend for claims notification and to provide customers with assistance and advice on how to improve the level of protection from flood waters.
By 1pm today (Friday 20 November 2009), Hibernian Aviva had received over 500 new claims. These relate mainly to property and motor damage claims. So far this week 72% of claims notified to the company are new claims and relate mainly to claims from flooding following the bad weather.
Hibernian Aviva is advising home owners in flooded areas to exercise extreme caution over the coming days as the weather is predicted to remain stormy in many areas of the country.

- 1850 621 126 Hibernian Aviva’s Homecall Helpline (24-hour helpline to help locate expert repairmen and tradesmen such as plumbers, roofers etc).
