Starting from today, a new savings product - The Aviva Scholarship - is added to Aviva Romania's product portfolio. This product is a financial plan for children, designed to respond in the best possible way to Romanian consumers' need to make savings.

We believe that prosperity and peace of mind can be achieved with the help of simple financial planning, by means of our savings and investment products and pensions, as well as through the life insurance plans which we offer.

The Aviva Scholarship covers the main expenses of your child's period of study: self-study, tuition and exam fees, textbooks, accommodation, transport or meals.

The benefits offered by the Aviva Scholarship are:

Financial security:

  • The amount necessary for your child's most important plans: their university studies
  • The option to use the money accrued on other plans as well: starting up a business, buying an apartment
  • A secure financial future - whatever might happen, Aviva makes money for your child instead of you, and that way he or she benefits from the amount which you had planned for him or her
  • Security for your child - a sum of money which your child receives to look after him or herself when parents are no longer close at hand
  • Protection for your savings from the effects of long-term inflation

Flexibility:

  • The freedom to choose how much or how little to deposit
  • You can choose how to cash the money accrued in line with your future needs
    • A grant for a period of your choice
    • A one-off payment of money from the account
    • A combination of the options above
  • You can make additional deposits at any time if you have specific income
  • The freedom to change your investment plan in line with the degree of risk which you want to take

Performance:

  • Personalised investments in line with your risk profile and the projected growth potential
  • Access to an investment plan which guarantees that the share value will not fall
  • A team of investment professionals

Together with Mihaela Rădulescu, Aviva has launched the campaign "The search for the youngest Oxford scholar in the country", which will run on the www.bursadestudii.ro/ website from 3 June to 3 July 2008. In order to take part in the draw, parents are invited to read through the information on the website, recommend another three parents to whom Aviva can provide details of the Aviva Scholarship, and register their personal details. The winner will receive an Aviva Scholarship product to which the company will contribute 3,000 RON per year for 10 years.

"My positive collaboration with Aviva last year has motivated me to stand by them again this year, and, when it comes to doing something for children, I can't say no. The concept behind the campaign struck me as being extremely interesting because it puts the emphasis on the importance of the right education in order to succeed in life. With the aim of explaining to parents the benefits of the Aviva Scholarship product, the company is offering an amount of money which can be used to cover tuition costs at a prestigious university such as Oxford. So, alongside Aviva, throughout the month of June, I'll be searching for the youngest Oxford scholar in the country!" says Mihaela Rădulescu.

"Every parent wants nothing but the best for their child: a successful career, a fulfilling family and material comfort. The road to achieving these aims is opened up by an excellent education which doubtless involves a considerable financial outlay. More and more parents are choosing to prepare themselves ahead of time for this moment by means of an accessible, secure and flexible financial plan." stated Shah Rouf, CEO Aviva Romania.
