Tim Cobb has been appointed to the new role of general manager marketing and public relations.
Formerly Aviva’s general manager products, Tim has successfully overseen the development of the Navigator Platform and Aviva’s Protectionfirst insurance products over the last four years.
Group director – products, marketing and public affairs, Rob Donaghy, said he was very excited about Aviva’s future growth prospects and appreciates the critical role of the Marketing and Public Relations team.
“Tim’s knowledge of the Australian market and his previous marketing and PR experience with Virgin and Norwich Union in the UK, makes him well qualified to lead Aviva forward in this area,” said Rob.
In the Product department, Natalie Eckersall has been promoted to general manager – wealth protection products, while Andrew Barker takes on the role of general manager – wealth management products.
Natalie has extensive product knowledge, having worked at Aviva in senior roles for many years. In this new role, Natalie will build on the success of Aviva’s award winning Protectionfirst range.
Andrew moves from the Distribution team to take on his new position, and will be responsible for the ongoing development of Aviva’s investment and superannuation products, offered under the Navigator platform.
“The energy and commitment of Tim, Natalie and Andrew will be instrumental in building on Aviva’s success and further cementing our position as a force to be reckoned within the Australian market,” said Rob.
