India: Aviva Life associates with RCDF

Aviva Life Insurance today announced its association with Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation (RCDF) for group insurance cover to its members.

Aviva Life Insurance today announced its association with Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation (RCDF) for group insurance cover to its members. The products will be available to more than 1 lakh members of the 16 district Milk Co-operative Unions of RCDF. The cover is being provided under the ‘Saras Suraksha Kavach II’ Scheme which is being launched today by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shrimati Vasundhra Raje. The scheme offers non-life cover for the members provided by United India Insurance and a life cover provided by Aviva Life Insurance.

Commenting on the occasion, Shoumitro Roye, Director, direct sales force (DSF), Aviva Life Insurance said: ‘‘Aviva is committed to introducing low premium products for those sections of the society who cannot afford to buy a high premium life cover. Our association with RCDF is an effort in this direction. We are looking forward to providing life cover to RCDF members at a low cost.’’

About Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation

RCDF was established in the year 1977 under Rajasthan Co-operative Act, 1965 with 16 District Milk Unions affiliated to it. Since then RCDF has made sincere efforts to reach the village milk producers of 32 districts of Rajasthan in order to ensure substantial contribution to rural economy and betterment of village level milk producers. Over the years RCDF has established a sprawling network of 7,150 primary village level Co-operative Societies linked with 16 milk unions at district level which are affiliated to RCDF. The governance of village level milk societies and milk unions is ensured by elected Boards of Milk Producers under a very democratic system.
