Aviva Vida y Pensiones and Insemat Correduría de Seguros hosted an informative session yesterday for families and carers of people with learning difficulties at the Nazarene Association for the Integration of Persons with Learning Difficulties, at this organisation’s headquarters in Dos Hermanas (Sevilla), in order to provide consultancy for this section of the community on the subject of assets protection.
The day’s workshop is the first action being developed within the framework of the agreements that Aviva Vida y Pensiones and Insemat Correduría de Seguros signed last November with the Andalucia Confederation of Organisations in Favour of People with Learning Difficulties (Confederación Andaluza de Organizaciones en Favor de las Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual (FEAPS Andalucía)), undertaking to provide consultancy on new topics and key elements in order to guarantee the protection of the assets of disabled persons, in practice those covered by the Law 41/2003.
One major highlight of the multiple activities that Aviva Vida y Pensiones will develop in favour of the associations that form FEAPS Andalucía, among which is the ANIDI, is the preparation of an easy to read manual, in addition to the consultancy sessions, which is intended to cover the information requirements and disperse the doubts of these people and their family members on complex matters related to legislation.
Fernando Mora, assistant director general of Aviva Vida y Pensiones, has affirmed in the document that “initiatives of this kind are fundamental in order to offer the necessary support to a community that has been highly exposed, traditionally, as regards the protection of their assets”. He also expressed his satisfaction “in having organisations with broad-based experience, such as FEAPS Andalucía and Insemat”.
On his part, Juan Manuel Carrasco, chairman of FEAPS Andalucía, has affirmed that “initiatives such as the one that Aviva Vida y Pensiones and Insemat are carrying out with carers of people with learning difficulties in Andalucía are of fundamental importance to allow hundreds of people to claim their rights and end the ignorance that often prevails as regards asset protection, which is a matter of vital importance for these people”.
Rafael Ventura Gallego, spokesperson of Correduría de Seguros INSEMAT, has explained that “the legal framework that governs issues of this kind is complex and, on many occasions, ignorance of it may have undesirable consequences for sufferers. This is why we are taking a very positive view of this initiative which we are undertaking with Aviva Vida y Pensiones and FEAPS Andalucía”.
