UK: New Aviva website encourages advisers to talk group risk

Aviva has launched a new online resource for advisers to help them understand how group risk benefits can bring valuable protection to their corporate customers.

Aviva has launched a new online resource for advisers to help them understand how group risk benefits can bring valuable protection to their corporate customers.

www.letstalkgrouprisk.co.uk has been launched in response to increased interest in group risk issues and to help advisers create an awareness of group risk benefits amongst employers. It features a comprehensive range of tools to help advisers start conversations, stay up-to-date with the industry and sell group risk to customers.

The website includes case studies, industry expert views and information for advisers to gain an understanding of a range of issues relating to group risk. These include stress in the workplace and early warning signs as well as the importance of early intervention and flexible rehabilitation services.

Katherine Moxham from Group Risk Development (GRiD) also discusses the impact of sickness absence and how group risk solutions and wellbeing initiatives in the workplace protect employees and save on absence costs.

The site also highlights improvements made to Aviva’s Group Risk offering so that corporate customers can benefit from a complete solution for employees and their families, from prevention and pre-absence through to rehabilitation. There is also information for advisers on Aviva’s claims capability and the development of sustainable competitive products.

Steve Bridger, head of group risk at Aviva, UK Health, said: “The government’s recent review into absence management has shone a spotlight on the importance of early intervention and the need for employers to support more people with health conditions to stay in work.

“It’s vital that advisers are kept up-to-date with current thinking on these issues so that they can open up discussions with their corporate customers and advise how products like group income protection can help manage sickness absence.

“Letstalkgrouprisk.co.uk has been designed to support both experienced and new advisers. It provides a wealth of content-rich, practical information, as well as comments on issues such as workplace stress and the Sickness Absence Review.”
