The deep commitment and trust-inspiring service provided to customers by Aviva NDB's most outstanding Wealth Planners were recognised and celebrated recently at a truly spectacular event. It combined the Wealth Planner Graduation – a first in the history of the industry, with the annual sales convention. More than 1,500 of the company's highest performers attended the glittering event along with a distinguished gathering of invitees.
The mammoth event, which spanned over eight hours, commenced with the Wealth Planner Graduation Ceremony which Professor Uditha Liyanage graced as chief guest. 600 sales professionals were awarded the "Wealth Planner" status under several categories of merit, after a stringent evaluation process of key performance areas, knowledge gained and competencies developed via focused training modules.
According to these criteria, Premier Wealth Planner, Privileged Wealth Planner, Senior Wealth Planner, Wealth Planner and Associate Wealth Planner titles were bestowed at the graduation ceremony. The competencies and skills of these Wealth Planner graduates are consistently sharpened and honed through world-class training, combining Aviva's global best practices with extensive product knowledge at the Aviva NDB centre for excellence, acclaimed by CIM UK.
Aviva NDB's annual sales convention was next on the agenda. The company's most exceptional Wealth Planners were rewarded with coveted awards and titles. The two super stars in life and general insurance were felicitated amidst much fanfare. For the third consecutive year Mrs D G A Swarna from Anuradhapura region, was adjudged The Best Wealth Planner – Life. She also attained the position of "Court of the table" at the Million Dollar Round Table conference. For his tremendous achievement the title of Best Wealth Planner – General Insurance, was bestowed on Lankanatha Meegahapola from Colombo region two for the second consecutive year.
The other two high performers, who shone the brightest in life insurance were W K M Ratnasiri of Colombo region two who walked away with the title - Best Wealth Planners' Manager – Life, and Roshan Peiris of Negombo region, who was felicitated as the Best Distribution Head - Life, based on their remarkable success in 2010.
The shining stars who entered the limelight for general insurance were Malanga Galappaththi from the commercial business development unit who walked away with the award for Best Senior Wealth Planner and Upali Tennakoon from Kurunegala region whose extraordinary leadership won him the prestigious award for Best Team Manager.
The event also served as the ideal platform to unveil Aviva NDB's latest product – Aviva NDB pensions, which was enthusiastically received by the Wealth Planner audience. The i-Wealth Planner portal was also launched at the event.
Upul Wijesinghe, director distribution - direct sales, pleased with the Wealth Planners' outstanding accomplishments and the indelible contribution made towards the unprecedented success of the company in 2010 said: "I am proud of each one of our Wealth Planners.
