From 1 July the general manager of Aviva Life Insurance in the Czech Republic will be Jiri Schneller, who comes from the ACE European Group.
From 1 July the general manager of Aviva Life Insurance in the Czech Republic will be Jiri Schneller, who comes from the ACE European Group. In his new workplace he intends to make good use of his 10-year practice in the insurance business and a wide range of experiences obtained in the international companies for which he worked in the past. In the Czech Republic he will, among other things, take part in the European Quantum Leap program, a strategy for conducting transformation activities throughout the entire Aviva Europe region.
"I'm glad to have the opportunity to work for Aviva, which is one of most significant world insurance providers. My main target will be to ensure that the position of Aviva Life Insurance in the Czech Republic directly corresponds to Aviva's position in Europe and in the world.
"Through Aviva and independent advisers and insurance brokers we will be offering attractive products that many Aviva customers in Europe already use today. Our priority will be to maintain the high quality of services provided to our customers and advisers," said Jiri Schneller, the new general manager of Aviva Life Insurance in the Czech Republic.
Jiri Schneller graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. After his graduation he was involved for several years in international trading and the distribution of high turnover goods. His insurance career started in 2000 with the American International Group (AIG) where was working as manager of the travel and accident insurance section and from 2004 he was in the role of Direct Marketing Manager for the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania.
In 2005 he transferred to Winterthur Life Insurance and Winterthur Pension Fund (now AXA Insurance) where he became manager of the external services section with responsibility for the development of trading and distribution of personal and group life insurance, accident and health insurance and supplementary retirement insurance.
In 2006 he accepted an offer from the ACE European Group, which specialises in industrial risk insurance, to establish and develop the Group's branch in the Czech Republic, subsequently working in the position of General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
In his free time Jiří Schneller likes doing sport and recreational yachting and he is also a ski instructor.
