On 10 January this year Aviva introduced a new guarantee programme for settling motor insurance claims (the first of its kind on the Polish market) - Aviva Niezawodnie (Reliable Aviva), which is aimed at comprehensive insurance customers.
On 10 January this year Aviva introduced a new guarantee programme for settling motor insurance claims (the first of its kind on the Polish market) - Aviva Niezawodnie (Reliable Aviva), which is aimed at comprehensive insurance customers.
The insurer undertakes to issue a decision regarding the payment of compensation within the period set out in the regulations:
- 12 working days from the date when the claim was made for settlements based on an estimated valuation.
- 14 working days from the date when the claim was made if the vehicle has been written off.
- Seven working days from the date when Aviva receives the documents if the vehicle has been stolen.
The period is calculated from the date when the customer reported the claim. If this period is not observed, Aviva shall give the customer an additional 5% discount on their insurance premium for the next year or a useful gift for their car.
"In preparing our offer, we have made use of the Aviva group's international experience. The guarantee programme which has been introduced is based, among other things, on the practice of settling claims and on the similar principles of the Aviva programme in Canada," says Elżbieta Wójcik, vice-president of Aviva Towarzystwa Ubezpieczeń Ogólnych SA and responsible for direct motor insurance.
The introduction of the programme will be accompanied by a TV and online advertising campaign.
Aviva Direct motor insurance includes the following: third party insurance, comprehensive motor insurance, breakdown assistance, accident insurance, windscreen insurance and legal protection insurance. The most important features of this package are:
- The possibility of insuring the discounts you currently have or which you have earned (up to two claims over three years).
- A two-year guarantee on work carried out at garages collaborating with Aviva (over 380 garages across the country).
- Compensation which allows you to purchase a new vehicle from an authorised network of dealerships in the event of the loss of a car less than 12 months old.
- The amount of insurance is not reduced by the amount paid in compensation.
- A replacement car for the period of time when your car is being repaired, provided that these repairs are carried out in garages collaborating with Aviva.
- A wide range of situations in which the insurer will provide towing services for the damaged vehicle and a replacement car as part of the breakdown assistance insurance (eg a replacement car outside Poland).
