From 15 June until 10 July, customers will be able to invest in the latest structured product - Aviva Gwarancja Akcje Europejskie (Aviva Guarantee European Shares). Furthermore, up until 14 August the handling fees have been scrapped for the Aviva Investors TFI shares subfunds, and customers investing at least 20 thousand zlotys in one go will be able to take advantage of the special Bonus VIP insurance offer.

A new structure
Since 2007 Aviva (formerly Commercial Union) has offered structured products under the name Aviva Guarantee in the form of individual life and endowment insurance. These products protect the capital invested by the customer, and at the same time enable him to earn money on international financial markets. The product which is currently available is linked to the SGI WISE Long/Short Vol Target European shares index which was developed by the bank Société Generale. It allows customers to make a profit on the European shares markets with a 100% guarantee on their invested capital.

The agreement is for three years and nine months. The minimum investment is 10,000 zlotys. There are no handling or management fees. Aviva guarantees a 100% return on the capital which has been invested at the end of the insurance period, and payments are not subject to capital gains tax. Another important criterion is the high participation rate – or rather the customer’s percentage share in the profits acquired through investment in the index which serves as the base for the product. CU has set this rate at a level of 80-100% - the final amount will be established at the end of the sales period.

The new structure is similar to before and is offered by 3,500 Aviva CU insurance advisers and at Expandera and Finamo branches.

No handling fee
Up until 14 August the handling fees for all shares subfunds offered by Aviva Investors TFI (formerly Commercial Union TFI) have been scrapped:

  • Aviva Investors Polskich Akcji [Polish Shares]
  • Aviva Investors Małych Spółek [Small Businesses]
  • Aviva Investors Nowych Spółek [New Businesses]
  • Aviva Investors Nowoczesnych Technologii [New Technologies]
  • Aviva Investors Akcji Europy Wschodzącej [Eastern Europe Shares]

The most profitable option is to invest 20,000 zlotys
There is a special Bonus VIP insurance offer for customers who want to invest at least 20,000 zlotys. This offer is valid until 14 August and consists of scrapping introductory fees which means that the full amount is classed as investment. Aviva also guarantees a certain level of return on this capital investment within the first six months from signing the agreement, which will be deposited into a Monetary Fund. The guaranteed profit level ranges from 5.5 to 7.5% per annum and depends on the chosen investment strategy.
