79.6% of Romanians believe in the institutions of family and marriage, just as they inherited them from their parents and grandparents, whilst only 7.8% think that the concept of marriage is outdated and only 5.3% believe that people should only get married if they want to have a child.
79.6% of Romanians believe in the institutions of family and marriage, just as they inherited them from their parents and grandparents, whilst only 7.8% think that the concept of marriage is outdated and only 5.3% believe that people should only get married if they want to have a child; these are the findings of a survey of Romanians carried out by Aviva Romania last week.
For the majority of those taking part in the Aviva survey, marriage, in its traditional form, brings with it responsibilities and a change of priorities, the family coming top of those priorities.
The Aviva survey highlights the fact that, for most Romanians, concerns about the family come down to financial security and protection of the family's income; despite this, 31.19% are still not thinking about taking out life insurance (which would bring them both benefits -financial protection and security), 3.81% think that when they have a child they will consider the option of taking out life insurance and 16.54% of those who do not yet have life insurance intend to take out a policy in the near future.
There is a time for everything - marriage, children, travel, work or pensions. The key thing is that, for each stage in life, we should ensure that the financial resources which we have available to us are sufficient for the aims which we have in mind and that the people we love have easy access to funds.
Those who are not yet married think that, when they do get married, they will give serious thought to taking out life insurance, because life insurance offers them the financial cushion that they need (with life insurance like this, the family has security, regardless of what might happen).
Only 25.7% of those who put their career first and are not thinking about marriage consider financial protection and security to be important and already have life insurance; 20.83% do not have it yet, but they are intending to arrange it in the near future and 4.86% think that the arrival of a child will determine whether or not they purchase a product of this nature.
"Married or not, for each one of us the institution of the family will always mean the same thing - a change of priorities and putting our loved ones first. We will always be thinking about how to make more of an effort so that our earnings enable us to provide our families with a high standard of living. And we forget what's more important: protecting these earnings, in case, one day (for reasons beyond the control of any of us- losing a job, being physically unable to work or even death) this income should disappear and not be sufficient for us to maintain our standard of living. Through insurance companies which have been providing professional financial products for hundreds of years, as is the case with Aviva, you can reassure yourself that your family will have easy access to funds and will be protected," Shah Rouf, CEO of Aviva Romania stated.
"February is the month of love and more often than not people express their love through gifts. This year Aviva is inviting you to think beyond a mere material gift and to offer your loved ones the financial protection and security which they need," Shah Rouf added.
