A career in insurance opens a lot of doors for driven and determined people. Today's customers are interested in purchasing Aviva's products, especially the "Instinct" accident insurance package and the life savings insurance packages offering a guaranteed return. The market demand for insurance services means that you can have a successful career in the insurance sector. But the most important and personal characteristics to be considered are, of course, a person's aims and approach to their job. The most successful employees at Aviva Russia in Moscow, according to November sales figures, were Aleksandr Viktorovich Fedoseev who was part of Olga Kolchenko's group at Rafael Mustafin's agency, and Kerim Mutalifovich Kaigermazov, part of Svetlana Kadikoeva's group at Natalya Melnikova's agency.

Aleksei Fedoseev worked as a commercial representative for an alcohol company for a long time. But at the same time, he was also looking for a job which involved communication. "I also really wanted to earn a good wage, which is why I chose insurance, a field where driven people can earn a lot of money," explains Aleksei when asked about his choice of career.

He joined Aviva on a friend's recommendation. The most difficult thing for Aleksei was entering the profession. "I was pleasantly surprised to find that my colleagues at Aviva were happy to teach the newcomers about all of the finer points of the profession. My trainers gave me detailed information about the products and the life insurance market and helped me to perfect the art of negotiating with customers. A lot of the skills needed to work in insurance can be learnt directly from working as an insurance agent," says Aleksei, recalling his first few weeks at the company.

Aleksei currently works as an insurance agent for Aviva, successfully meeting his sales targets. In November he made 200,000 roubles from selling two savings insurance packages and 8,350 roubles from selling one accident insurance package. Aleksei is able to determine his own income and he sets his own work schedule. This allows him to spend more time with his family and friends and to devote more time to his hobbies. "The life insurance sector is growing rapidly in Russia and this has enabled me to earn a lot of money and climb the career ladder".

Kerim Kaigermazov joined the company on the recommendation of his relatives (Aviva customers). "I had been interested in the savings insurance products offered by international companies for a long time, and I was surprised to find that such things were already on offer in Russia. I was also thinking about increasing my income" says Kerim. "When I joined Aviva on a training seminar, I liked the high level of training and the mental approach to the success of new agents and more experienced employees alike. It was then that I understand that this is where I would find everything I wanted - a job involving communication with positive people," Kerim has now completed a second degree at the Moscow University of Economics and he therefore understands financial issues and the work of a financial company.

Kerim is a very determined person. He has set himself the goal of becoming director of the agency. He re-examined his priorities in life, leaving his main job as a bailiff and becoming an insurance salesman. During his first week of work he sold eight insurance policies, during his first month he signed eight accident insurance policies and three life savings insurance policies and he also signed a further five insurance applications to be paid for in the following month. In November Kerim became the company's top agent in terms of the number of policies sold. "It helped that I had great mentors - my manager Svetlana Kadikova and the agency director Natalya Melnikova," explains Kerim.

"I am determined to work hard and to improve myself professionally at Aviva. At the same time, I have the chance to develop my skills and to earn good money. I am pleased that I will be able to give jobs to people who are not fazed by the challenges of a new profession and who want to work to achieve their goals. My experience has made me even more convinced of my motto in life 'If you want something, you will achieve it'".
