Adam Uszpolewicz, president of the Commercial Union Poland group, has been appointed a member of the board of directors of Aviva Europe. He will be replaced by Maciej Jankowski, the current vice-president of CU Poland.
In his new position, Adam Uszpolewicz will be responsible for retail sales (excluding the bancassurance channel) of insurance and savings and investment products all over Europe. As a member of the board of directors of Aviva Europe, he will also be responsible for a number of European countries (including Poland) where the retail sales channel is the main form of business. "By giving me this role, Aviva has shown that it appreciates the work of the entire CU group in Poland and the firm's achievements, which could act as an example for other countries in Europe," said Adam Uszpolewicz.
Aviva Europe, which includes 11 European countries (not including Great Britain), has around a 55% share of the Aviva group's sales and profit.
