Aviva and SNAGA (National Union of Aviva General Insurance Agents) are launching their mobile IT equipment plan at the union's general assembly to be held on 2 October in Paris. The company intends to provide each agent with a portable computer incorporating wireless 3G connectivity by 31 March 2009.
These new mobile tools will allow agents to do business and manage client accounts whether they are in the office or on the road.
Aviva continues its policy of investing in agents' equipment
After replacing computers in 2006, Aviva has been working since June 2008 to install flat-screen monitors and multi-function printers in its branches. Now, Aviva is rolling out mobility tools with the shipment of 300 portable computers to agents attending the SNAGA general assembly, plus a further 571 to the rest of the network by March 2009.
In addition to organizing the roll out and provision of this hardware, the Aviva IT Cooperative will be providing 90-minute training sessions for agents to allow them to master the basics of their new equipment.
Moreover, this IT hardware upgrade is being provided at no additional cost to agents.
