Last year Delta Lloyd introduced the Electronics and Appliances Insurance product (EAV). Delta Lloyd has now simplified this insurance product still further.
The EAV insurance product is aimed specifically at small and medium businesspeople. All electronic appliances used in the business can be insured, without needing to specify each individual appliance. This makes it an insurance product with very broad cover. Amongst other things it insures against damage as a result of fire, theft, unforeseen external events (for example, operating faults), actual faults and breakdowns.
Modifications to the product
The most important modifications to the product are:
- Computer equipment and the accompanying peripherals which are used for the actual administration of the insured business, from now on qualify as standard under the EAV's Office electronic equipment cover. (Previously this equipment could only be insured by a separate computer insurance product.)
- For businesses based in premises housing several businesses an additional premium no longer applies.
- The insurance product is now - in principle - available to all small and medium businesspeople.
- Previously the Benelux countries and Germany were the area of coverage applicable for transport cover. Under the new conditions, on payment of an additional premium, Europe or world cover can also be selected.
- Delta Lloyd is offering a simplified premium model.
Introduction of the EAV premium calculation tool
In August an EAV premium calculation tool will become available to insurance advisers on the Delta Lloyd website (DDD). The modified product card, fact sheet, policy conditions, questionnaire and the simplified tariff can be found on the DDD, via order and download.
