- Over €600 in savings for a family and €220 in savings for an individual
In one of its most aggressive promotions to date, Hibernian Health today announced that it is to cut premiums by 10% on its Level 2 Health Plan. Designed to attract VHI customers, a family can save over €600* while individuals can save over €220 on Hibernian Health's most popular health plan.
The 10% promotion will be offered to customers who join on the following dates 26 August 2008, 17 September 2008 and 26 September 2008. The promotion will be supported by radio and online advertising.
Commenting on the promotion Dick O'Driscoll, managing director of Hibernian Health, said: "Now is the time for consumers to review their health insurance options. Switching is easy with savings and additional benefits available immediately. Hibernian Health's plans are available throughout the country at Hibernian's nationwide branch network and Hibernian Health's other distribution channels."
Commenting on recent market changes, Dick O'Driscoll further added, "The recent supreme court decision striking down risk equalisation means that our customers will now not subsidise the dominant player in the market. All other elements of the market, including community rating, remain unchanged. Hibernian Health is committed to community rating and within this we provide access to the best product on the market at the best value.
"This is one of our most aggressive promotions to date and as we approach a busy time of the year for renewals, we are encouraging consumers to shop around and to consider Hibernian Health for their health insurance needs, before they automatically renew with their current insurer."
Hibernian Health is now launching this promotion on the back of the recent ruling by the supreme court which indicated that the much challenged risk equalisation scheme would not be an element of the market going forward. Hibernian Health remains very much in favour of community rating and is committed to developing products that suit customers of all ages and offer the best value in the Irish market.
