Delta Lloyd is now offering a free withholding tax calculator. This enables unit-linked pension and savings plans to be compared easily and simply based on the tax applying.
Many provident savers will have to rethink their plans when definitive withholding tax comes into force in 2009. Until now, there has been no tax on capital gains from shares and investment funds if the holding period of one year is observed. However, this will change next year: For all shares acquired after 31 December 2008, 25% of the capital gains must be paid to the tax authorities. Depending on the period, number of switches and the monthly savings rate, tens of thousands of euros could go to the tax authorities. This makes long-term investment in unit-linked savings plans less attractive.
Unit-linked pension plan or savings plan
Therefore, many financial advisers and their clients are faced with the question of which product is better suited for future provision for retirement: unit-linked pension plans or savings plans
Delta Lloyd's new withholding tax calculator helps to make this decision. This enables unit-linked pension and savings plans to be compared easily and simply based on the tax applying. The software also allows for switches and the cost of investing in unit trusts, which can be entered individually. The software can be installed simply and has no specific system requirements.
With this, Delta Lloyd Finanzvermittlern offers a practical program providing helpful guidance for advisers. The software is available on request from 0611773 2700 or by e-mail kcv@deltalloyd.de.
