Aviva Insurance Company ZAO, the Russian division of Aviva plc - the leading provider of life and pension products in Europe and the largest insurance group in Great Britain - has opened a new office as part of its strategy to expand the company's presence in Russian cities.
Rostov-on-Don is the sixth Russian city in which Aviva has offices: the company has already opened offices in the major Russian cities Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Nizhniy Novgorod. The company's regional development strategy aims to make the Aviva range of long-term savings and life assurance products available to all the inhabitants of the Russian Federation. Aviva plans to have offices in more than 40 Russian cities by 2010. The opening of Aviva's Rostov-on-Don office is a significant step towards achieving that strategy.
Aviva Russia plans to attain a leading position in Rostov-on-Don. In its local office, Aviva will employ approximately 100 financial consultants who, in addition to receiving exclusive specialist training and a competitive salary, will have the opportunity to participate in a human resources development programme that offers extensive career prospects to all company employees.
The Rostov-on-Don office is conveniently located in the centre of the city. The new office will be focused primarily on services for individuals, who will be presented with the entire range of savings and life assurance products. As the company's focus is on long-term cooperation, it always strives to meet its customers' highest expectations, offering advanced insurance solutions and impeccable service in accordance with the best Russian and global traditions.
"There are about 4.4 million people living in Rostov and the surrounding area, the overwhelming majority of whom could become our clients," said Andrei Doubinine, chairman of the management board and CEO of Aviva Russia Insurance Company ZAO. "Rostov-on-Don is one of the biggest cities in Russia today, the capital of the South. Rostov is attracting a great deal of interest from Russian and foreign investors. A project is being implemented to create a Free Customs Zone called ‘Southern Gates of Russia', bringing together the infrastructures of Rostov-on-Don and the Rostov region with the aim of increasing the import-export trade in goods, capital and services through the territory of southern Russia. The Region enjoys developed, strong and diverse industry, high intellectual potential and qualified specialists in extremely diverse fields of activity. We value the potential of this market highly. Aviva is already operating in Rostov-on-Don, offering its range of life assurance through banking partners and others. The opening of our own office in Rostov-on-Don is a chance to offer our clients additional services and consultations, and to propose new long-term life assurance products".
