Aviva Canada Inc, Canada's second largest insurance group and one of Scarborough's largest employers, wants to minimize the effect this coming Monday's potential TTC strike may have on its employees. Aviva has put together a contingency plan for all their head office employees to minimize travel disruption.

Aviva already offers employees a regular shuttle bus service to ease the daily commute and starting Monday morning, the services will be enhanced with extra buses, increased frequency and additional pick-up locations.

For employees who need to drive, additional parking and valet service is being coordinated to facilitate any increased vehicles arriving at Aviva offices. Aviva is also encouraging all employees and commuters to organize car pools to reduce traffic overflow.

Aviva employees are encouraged to call 1 888 701 4323 after 6pm on Sunday 20 April to confirm the activation of this plan.
