Norwich Union Risk Services (NURS) has achieved a 100% pass rate for its NEBOSH General Certificate course, well above the national pass rate of 77%.

Five credits and two distinctions were achieved by delegates who attended the course in Belfast.
Hugh McKinty, development director of Dawson Whyte Ltd, who attended the course and passed with credit, said: "As brokers, we need to differentiate ourselves from competitors and I feel the knowledge gained during the course has allowed us to discuss, with confidence, risk management issues, enabling us to enhance the services we provide to our clients.
"The quality of the tutorials and additional reading material has helped to assist us when interacting with new and existing clients. It has also enabled us to discuss NURS' services with some authority when advising clients on risk management."

The course is split into two distinct units - Management of Health and Safety and Controlling Workplace Hazards, which can be attended as a two-week block release course or as two distinct modules.
Each Unit is assessed separately by means of examinations and a practical work-based assignment.
