On 1 January 2008 Delta Lloyd is introducing the first bank endowment mortgage: the ZekerPlusHypotheek.

The ZekerPlusHypotheek is a redeemable product in terms of a Delta Lloyd mortgage. Unlike a traditional endowment mortgage, you don't save through a capital insurance policy, but in a blocked savings account with Delta Lloyd Bank. At the end of the mortgage term you redeem your ZekerPlusHypotheek with the balance saved. With the ZekerPlusHypotheek you enjoy low monthly payments, whilst also having the assurance that you will be able to redeem your ZekerPlusHypotheek at the end of the term.

The ZekerPlusHypotheek is made up of:

  • A mortgage loan to finance your home, based on your own income.
  • A blocked savings account to allow you to redeem the mortgage loan fully or in part by the end of the mortgage term.

The amount accumulated in the savings account comes under Box 1 of the tax system. You can avail yourself of the tax-free dividend KEW (Kapitaal Eigen Woning - Capital on Own Home).

You can combine the ZekerPlusHypotheek with other redeemable products from Delta Lloyd. From 1 January 2008 this product will be available from mortgage advisors working with Delta Lloyd.
