Aviva was today awarded first place in the prestigious 2007 Taylor Life Insurance Industry Survey. The survey sets a benchmark based on eleven main suppliers in the Life Insurance sector as measured by over 1,600 protection advisers across the industry during October/November 2007.
Allan Griffiths, CEO of Aviva Australia, said he was delighted that the strong growth in new business the company has experienced in 2007 is complemented by such positive sentiment from protection advisers across the country.
"We have seen hundreds of advisers turning to Aviva for products that meet their clients' needs. This survey confirms that we are also leading the market in the use of technology and the delivery of service."
Bill Taylor, CEO of Taylor Management Consultants, said: "Aviva's overall first place and five star rating are based on consistently strong results across the survey's 41 Quality Performance Functions. This result follows several years of continuous innovation in the life insurance sector from Aviva."
The survey measures performance against adviser expectations with Aviva significantly outperforming the industry in the areas of "underwriting speed" and "timeliness of processing applications" and taking first place in the categories of "partnership and relationship", and "adviser transaction reports".
"This reflects the emphasis we place upon relationships and our strong technology focus, particularly our break-through Riskfirst technology," Mr Griffiths said. "We will raise the bar higher in 2008 as we have plans in place to deliver another step-change improvement in the life insurance market" he added.
Riskfirst is Aviva's signature-free online underwriting platform which enables dramatically faster completion of life insurance policies.
