France: Senséo Agricultural, Insurance for the agricultural industry

Aviva is launching Senséo Agricultural, a provident policy for self-employed farmers and their spouse co-workers, engaged in agricultural activities as their own business or in a partnership.

Aviva is launching Senséo Agricultural, a provident policy for self-employed farmers and their spouse co-workers, engaged in agricultural activities as their own business or in a partnership.

Its aim is to enable farmers to top up their provident cover in case of death, Total and Irreversible Loss of Independence, incapacity for work or disability.

With this policy, Aviva is significantly strengthening its competitive position in the segment of agricultural provident insurance in France.

A made-to-measure policy
This new provident policy offers "made-to-measure" covers for farmers. It comprises three main covers (Payment of Death Benefits to the designated beneficiary, Pension for the surviving spouse, Educational Allowance for child beneficiaries) which are cumulative and may be modified according to the customer's requirements and enhanced with a wide range of additional options offering considerable advantages.

Two additional covers are included with the "Death Benefits" cover.

The "Double Effect" cover guarantees the payment of an additional lump sum to "financially dependent children", divided equally between them, if the surviving spouse dies before his or her 80th birthday or suffers total and irreversible loss of independence before his or her 60th birthday at the same time as or after the death of the insured. This death benefit is equal to the amount indicated on the certificate of insurance, up to the ceiling of €150,000.

The "Family Event Adjustment" cover allows the insured to increase his death benefits cover by 30% (up to a ceiling of €150,000) without any medical formalities and irrespective of his age, within three months following one of the following events: marriage, birth of a child, start of further education of children, death of his spouse or purchase of a main residence (with proof that the insured resides there).

A wide range of optional covers enables the customer to be offered a solution tailored to his specific requirements.

  • Hospitalisation (new)
  • In the event of death or accidental total and irreversible loss of independence:
    • Additional lump sum;
  • In the event of death or temporary total incapacity for work:
    • Daily allowance;
  • Reimbursement of professional expenses (new);
  • In the event of disability:
    • Disability pension;
    • Extended disability pension;
    • Lump sum for disability regardless of cause.

A local network
The launch of Senséo Agricultural reflects Aviva's intention to provide farmers with solutions which best fit their requirements.

Proximity has always been one of Aviva's strong points, as is demonstrated in particular by its "Good Advice" approach to its customers. Aviva's General Agent, himself a self-employed professional, understands his customers' needs, enabling him to offer them tailor-made solutions in keeping with their expectations.

There are also two other provident policies which meet the specific needs of employees, tradespeople, craftspeople and liberal professionals (Senséo) and the medical and paramedical professions (Senséo Medical).
