The CSSPP has authorised 28,241 marketing agents recruited by AAV Private Pensions Broker, an Aviva Romania group company which deals with the sale of mandatory pensions. A further 1860 marketing agents are awaiting authorisation from the CSSPP to see private pensions for Aviva, as part of the campaign to gather applications for Pillar II.
The Aviva agents are eagerly awaiting the launch of mandatory private pensions. Starting on 17 September 2007 and continuing until 16 January 2008, over 3.8 million employees will re-direct 2% of their national insurance contributions into a private pension fund. Over the next eight years, these contributions will increase to 6%.
The Aviva agents have followed a three-stage training course over the past few months:
- Stage I of this training module consisted of CSSPP-approved basic training, in conjunction with a compulsory exam.
- Stage II took the form of full-time instruction supported by the Marketing Agency Guide, but also through online training.
- Stage III consisted of participation in a series of regional seminars.
"Aviva was one of the first companies to have received authorisation from the CSSPP, both for its pensions company and its private pension fund - Pensia Viva. We intend to create a competitive edge for ourselves right from the start and to offer our customers high-quality services via the best sales team in the market," stated Shah Rouf, CEO Aviva Group Romania.
