Sodra has transferred 25.8 million litas into the Commercial Union Lithuania pension fund account.
During the second quarter of 2007, Commercial Union Lithuania distributed a portion of social insurance contributions to clients' personal pension accounts and started an investment project. 18.5 million litas were transferred to the Europensija plius (Europension Plus) fund, 5.3 million litas were transferred to the Europensija (Europension) fund and 2 million litas were transferred to the Europensija ekstra (Europension Extra) fund.
The equity of the Commercial Union Lithuania pension funds after the new contributions increased by 17.4% and now amounts to 168.9 million litas. Compared to the first quarter of this year, the payments from Sodra in the second quarter increased by 8%. This month was the second time that pension fund participants' accounts received credit from Sodra, amounting to 5.5% of pension fund participant income from which social security contributions are deducted. Last year, the proportion of income transferred amounted to 4.5%.
