The market leading pension fund Commercial Union has established an additional service for its clients - the opportunity to communicate to a consultant via livechat.
Each pension fund customer benefiting from online account can communicate with a customer service advisor via livechat. The service is available during working hours Monday to Friday 7.30am to 8pm. So far, a few dozen clients have already taken advantage of the new form of communication. The majority of the questions are related to data updating - ID cards in particular, it is also possible to make these updates over the phone, as well as the amount and regularity of transferring contributions to the fund through the State Social Security Agency.
As the fund contributor must log onto their online account in advance, a consultant is able to answer questions regarding a certain account without delay, whilst retaining data confidentiality.
This is an additional element in improving customer services with the use of the internet which is being introduced by CU Pension. For a long time, interested contributors have been able to keep track of transfers and their entire account history online.
To take advantage of online account, customers can apply by telephone, e-mail or by post. Thereafter, the pension fund sends an individual ePin by post. The service is free of charge. On the website it is also possible to view a demo version of online account. Almost 350,000 CU Pension customers have access to this service. Its growing popularity can be affirmed by the 96% of customers who joined the fund since the beginning of 2007 have applied for online account.
On the pension fund website (http://www.cu.pl/) there is a form available which provides information on all required data needed to join Commercial Union Pension Fund.
From the beginning of the pension reform, CU OFE has been the leading the Polish pension fund market, both in the number of customers (at present over 2.7 million) as well as in asset value (over 35 billion zlotys). In both the May and August transfer sessions, CU Pension Fund achieved very good results as the highest number of customers switching funds entrusted their assets to CU Pension Fund (over 18,500 thousand people in May and over 21,400 thousand people in August).
