Aviva today announced it would give advisers an extended opportunity to take advantage of superannuation opportunities by keeping its State offices open on "Super Saturday" 30 June.
This is the final day before major superannuation legislative changes come into effect and the last chance for many investors who wish to maximize their super contributions.
Grant Salmon, chief operating officer, said: "We've seen a big upturn in super contributions at Aviva. With only 14 traditional business days to go, we are being customer-focused by giving investors an extra opportunity to contribute.
"Combined with the dedication of our staff, opening on the Saturday enables us to provide greater opportunities during an extremely busy period for advisers. We believe Navigator is the only platform offering to accept contributions on the final day possible," he said.
The offices (see appendix for addresses and access information) will be open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 30 June. For that day, Aviva will be able to accept deposits via cheque, which must be accompanied by appropriate paperwork. For more information, advisers should contact their business development manager or call adviser services on 1800 442 942.
In a further extension to customer service, today Aviva also launched an evening Client Transaction Team. The team will work until 9pm Mondays to Thursdays to assist existing administration teams in meeting and exceeding customer service targets.
"With the current boom in business at Aviva we're extending our hours to maintain Top Quartile service," said Grant.
