Aseval has awarded a contract to Indra to carry out a technological overhaul of its information systems, which support its life and pensions business. The project consists of setting up a new insurance platform that, in future, will serve the entire bancassurance branch of the Aviva group, to which Aseval belongs. This contract establishes Indra as the insurer's technology partner.
The platform will support the transactions performed at more than 4,500 points of sale of the Aviva group's bancassurance network in Spain and the management of more than 2,500,000 policies.
Aseval selected the technology from Indra in order to keep pace with the strong growth in its business. The new platform will reduce the time-to-market for new products and services, facilitate the integration of new distribution channels and aid implementation of Aseval's business strategy.
Moreover, Aseval will optimise the overall understanding and treatment of its customers, increasing the quality of the service delivered and enabling it to identify new services and products that may be useful to customers. Another of the benefits of the new insurance hub is that the various entities will be able to send and receive information in real time via an Internet connection with the platform.
Thanks to the flexibility of the new system, Aseval will have greater capacity to continue growing, deploy new developments, adapt to changes in legislation and ensure continuous improvement. Indra will also benefit from the partnership with Aseval, by developing a solution specifically designed for the insurance sector.
