The owners of 47,000 vehicles insured through the Aviva Canada group in Nova Scotia will start paying lower automobile insurance rates starting 1 February 2007. Approval has been received by the Nova Scotia Insurance Review Board for Aviva to reduce its rates for drivers in the Province, effective 1 January 2007 for new business and 1 February 2007 for renewals.
Overall, Aviva is reducing its rates by 11% for private passenger vehicles in Nova Scotia. The amount each policyholder receives will differ depending on policy, geographic and risk details. For example, rates in Halifax are decreasing, on average, by over 15%.
“This is great news for drivers in Nova Scotia,” says Jennifer Power, senior vice-president of Aviva’s Atlantic region. “Clearly, the reforms introduced over three years ago continue to drive lower premiums for Nova Scotia drivers.”
Aviva provides a broad range of products and services to policyholders through a network of independent insurance brokers, and underwrites a number of specialty niche products in partnership with independent insurance brokers. Visit us at www.avivacanada.com to find an Aviva broker near you.
