Investors will have the choice of over 30 investment options, with eight pre-select multi manager funds, including smaller companies and boutique funds. Fund managers offered include:

Navigator Access is a simple, yet comprehensive administration platform offering investors a range of top quality investments, managers and facilities at a value for money price.
Head of Research at Navigator, Stuart Fechner said he was overwhelmed with the number of fund managers keen to be considered for Navigator’s new bundled portfolio service.
"A robust investment list is provided so appropriate portfolios may be constructed to meet varying investor needs and objectives. Different investment approaches and styles are offered encompassing active and passive management.
"The list offers emerging and niche investment sectors including global property, diversified property and hybrid/high yield funds. These, along with the more traditional asset classes, provide great flexibility in tailoring portfolios for clients," said Stuart.
The range includes well established fund managers with recognised brands and a selection of boutique managers. These options incorporate the best of the best performing funds in their respective asset classes, such as Platinum and AXA Global Value (International equities), Perpetual and Investors Mutual (Australian equities) and ING Tax Effective Income Trust (Diversified Funds).
It was important for the fund list to meet adviser’s expectations. A number of the selections followed direct feedback from major dealer groups and advisers during various stages of the development. We also assessed:
- the level of support for various managers
- comparisons with competitors
- the ability for the manager to meet our administration and reporting expectations
- value
- ensuring a diverse list of quality fund managers and funds, investment approaches and styles
Unlike many competitors in the mini platform market, Navigator has avoided bias towards in-house managers and the use of mandated structures - criticism directed at a number of providers in this market.
"We want investors to benefit from investing in the wholesale funds we consider the best in each of the major asset classes. This is priced competitively in one simple bundled fee structure, and offered to investors in a simple package.
That’s not to say the service is simple – far from it. Navigator Access investors will benefit from online access to their Navigator account, comprehensive statement reporting, the ability for advisers to plan and transact online and take advantage of Navigator’s tax optimisation strategies," said Stuart.
