Navigator today announced financial advisers can now export their Navigator client and transaction information to XPLAN.

With approximately 1,000 users, XPLAN is a comprehensive web-developed business solution for financial modelling, which includes: client relationship management, insurance quotations, FSR compliance and a fully capable portfolio management system.

Users of XPLAN range from single adviser sites through to large multi-level national dealer groups.

Navigator’s General Manager Operations, Bruce Hawkins, said this data feed service is an important enhancement to Navigator’s already state-of-the-art platform. It reinforces that Navigator is committed to giving advisers greater flexibility and choice as to how they do business with their preferred supplier.

“The number of advisers using Navigator’s own financial planning and reporting solution, n-link is constantly growing,” said Bruce. “However, we recognise that a number of advisers supporting Navigator use other financial planning systems such as XPLAN, and this new service will make it easier for them to deal with us.”

The current n-link offering encompasses; account information and client reporting (which provides up to date client information), online transactions (which allows the adviser to save time and money by submitting Navigator transactions straight to the administration system) and n-link financial planning (which assists advisers create a compliant Statement of Advice.

The Navigator to XPLAN data feed is a seamless system. Advisers using XPLAN can now access Navigator client data on their desktop. Client data updates are regularly sent to XPLAN from Navigator to ensure advisers have up to date information available for their clients and their Navigator portfolios.

The Navigator client information is easily exported to XPLAN and includes, account and contact details, Navigator share service, investment holdings and transactional data.

Navigator is currently in discussions with Visiweb, Visiplan, InvestmentLink and COIN to provide a similar service.
