Financial advisers using Navigator's financial planning tool FPI are migrating to the new state-of-the-art system, n-link - an online software package linking the adviser's office to Navigator's administration systems.
Users of n-link financial planning will now have access to research, calculators, client management, StratPlan (allowing advisers to automatically produce a compliant Statement of Advice) and customised reporting templates.
Modelled on the popular FPI, the new n-link financial planning tool not only provides familiarity for users, but is also a major system enhancement, making business much easier for financial planners.
Since launching in 2003, many financial advisers have quickly recognised the benefits of n-link. Already more than 1,500 advisers are authorised to use the complete n-link system with approximately 550 being migrated from FPI.
According to Navigator's chief operating officer, Grant Salmon, n-link takes all the positive parts of FPI and offers them in a simpler, more efficient and complete financial planning tool.
"At Navigator we were aware FPI was very popular with advisers for many years so we have ensured the new system feels familiar but also offers immediate business improvements," said Grant.
Already a number of large dealer groups have been migrated onto n-link and are actively using the tools. Feedback from these users has been extremely positive with the business improvements clearly visible - especially time savings and improved accuracy.
The financial planning component is just the latest in a number of services available on n-link - all designed to help advisers manage their client relationship easier.
The beauty of n-link is that it effectively links an adviser's office with Navigator's administration platform. Using n-link, advisers can manage:
- Online transactions including switching, reweighting, share trading, additional contributions and new applications.
- Investor and adviser reporting, including portfolio performance
- Financial planning - research, client management, calculators and Stratplan.
"At Navigator we are continually enhancing our offer and each time we do this we work in close conjunction with advisers to ensure we are providing exactly what they need," said Grant.
The past year has been a year of solid growth for Navigator - now reporting close to $11 billion in combined funds under administration for the Navigator platform - and we are committed to the ongoing growth of our business and supporting the financial advisers that work with us.
To help advisers get started on n-link, Navigator will migrate all FPI data and train new users.
Future enhancements for n-link include upgraded security and the addition of an on-line Protection Illustrator tool, which will further improve available client information.
A free trial of n-link is available until 31 March 2005. After that period a competitive subscription fee will be introduced.
