Independent researchers have recently confirmed that Norwich Union has the best master trusts in the Australian market.
In a survey by Business Owner Research of over 170 Australian Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and Research Managers from 6 leading dealer groups 17% voted Norwich Union Australia as the company that has the best superannuation master trust.[1] This was the highest percentage of all insurers and fund managers.
Norwich Union has two very successful master trusts; Navigator and the corporate superannuation master trust Super Solutions.
This research supports the recent findings of Asset Magazine who nominated Norwich Union Super Solutions as the best Corporate Superannuation Master Trust in their December 2001 review of the master trust industry. Norwich Union Navigator was ranked first in the best Personal Investments Master Trust category.
The Business Owner research also indicated that 25 per cent of IFAs predominantly used Norwich Union for superannuation. Amazingly, only 1 per cent (the lowest recorded) of IFAs revealed that they would not deal with Norwich Union for superannuation business.
"We use the Norwich master trust mostly… It has the most advanced Internet capabilities – the minute you have people involved, you have errors and delays, but using a computer system, this happens far less…" said one IFA interviewed.
Norwich Union is rated second at 10 per cent by IFAs as having superior technology. "We have developed a system that is user friendly and delivers," said Allan Griffiths, Group Director of Distribution and Managing Director of Norwich Union Life.
"Norwich Union is popular with Financial Advisers because Navigator and Super Solutions use reliable and technologically advanced systems breaking new ground in the industry," added Mr Griffiths. "Super Solutions is fast developing a reputation for outstanding e-commerce capabilities and excellent administration."
"I think it is very good. I promote it to my clients because the admin is very good – and that’s the key issue… And their Internet platform – their technology – is very good too!" said another surveyed Financial Adviser.
Norwich Union’s superannuation addresses the two primary areas listed as needing improvement by super providers: improving administration and improving website/Internet access. "The Super Solutions platform uses the Internet for all aspects of superannuation administration from contributions to reporting. This makes it simple for the employer and the member," said Mr Griffiths.
