New hospital list option for Norwich Union Healthcare's Fair + Square private medical insurance

Norwich Union Healthcare has introduced an increased hospital list option on its individual Fair + Square private medical insurance policy, making it more widely available to customers throughout the UK.

The existing Fair + Square product - which offers a choice between private treatment or NHS with money back - provides access to 119 private hospitals where customers can have treatment.

The new expanded hospital list option - Fair + Square Hospital Plus - enables access to almost all private hospitals in the UK - an increased choice of nearly 200 hospitals.

The Hospital Plus option now means that Fair + Square is more widely available to those whose local hospital wasn't previously included.

The original Fair + Square network product with the reduced hospital list, which is cheaper than Fair + Square Hospital Plus to reflect this, will still be available.

Carolyn Derrington, head of business development, said: "Fair + Square is very successful with the existing hospital network but we have many more enquirers looking for the choice in healthcare treatment that Fair + Square offers.

We are therefore extending the choice to a much wider prospective customer audience."

Fair + Square and Fair + Square Hospital Plus offer affordable premiums plus a choice between private or NHS care for people needing hospital treatment.

Customers who decide to use the NHS rather than going to a private hospital, receive a cash sum - Ł500 for the first night in hospital and Ł250 for subsequent nights, and Ł250 per day for day patient treatment (to a maximum of Ł10,000 per person per year).
