Aviva UK: Aviva UK General Insurance appoints Lindsey Rix as managing director, personal lines

Aviva UK General Insurance (UKGI) today announces the appointment of Lindsey Rix as managing director of its personal lines business.

Reporting to Maurice Tulloch, chief executive officer for Aviva’s UK General Insurance business, Lindsey will be responsible for UKGI's personal lines business across home, motor, travel and pet insurance – specifically; underwriting, customer service and operations.

As part of today’s announcement, Phil Bayles, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer UKGI, will take on additional responsibility for all distribution relationships across Aviva UK General Insurance. Managing relationships with strategic partners is added to Phil’s current responsibilities for broker and partnership distribution channels under a new title of Chief Distribution Officer, UKGI.

Lindsey joined Aviva in September 2014 as Chief Operating Officer UKGI. With a strong background in financial services, Lindsey was previously managing director at Santander responsible for its private banking and wealth management business and has held various positions in Barclays’ corporate and commercial businesses.

Lindsey replaces previous personal lines managing director Steve Treloar who left Aviva in November 2015.
