France: Bernard Barrere is appointed director of operations and change for Aviva France

Aviva France is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernard Barrère as the director of operations and change of Aviva France.

Aviva France is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernard Barrère as the director of operations and change of Aviva France. Bernard Barrère will report directly to Philippe Maso y Guell Rivet, managing director of Aviva France and joins the executive and strategic committee of Aviva France.

Within Aviva France, Bernard Barrère will be responsible specifically for customer services, life and damages insurance (compensation), IT, logistics, safety, organisation and methods.

Having started his professional career in Schlumberger, Bernard Barrère changed paths in 1985 and chose the insurance sector, working for Drouot insurance, Axa insurance and Pacifica. In 1998, he joined GMF where he was appointed director of IT, organisation and e-development of the Azur-GMF Group in 2000. He was then successively director of Azur insurance, claims director of Azur GMF and managing director of Fidélia Assistance. Since November 2011, he was the CEO of MMA Holdings UK, responsible for merging the British subsidiaries of the Covéa group (MMA Insurance and Provident).

Bernard Barrère graduated from the École Polytechnique, the French Institute of Actuaries and the French Centre for Insurance Studies. He is 49 years old.
