Aviva announces board change

Aviva plc (“Aviva” or the “Company”) announces that Leslie Van de Walle, an independent non-executive director, has informed the board of his intention to step down as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 2 May 2012 and he will not seek re-election as a director at the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 3 May 2012.

This disclosure is made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.11 of the Listing Rules.

Lord Sharman of Redlynch, chairman of Aviva, said: “I would like to thank Leslie for his significant contribution while a member of the Aviva Board. Leslie’s wealth of experience and international perspective made him a valued member of the Board and we wish him well for the future.”
