Sam Hudson has been appointed head of broker personal lines for Aviva.
Having worked for both Aviva General Insurance and RAC for the last five and a half years, Hudson is now embracing a new role where his goal is for Aviva to be the number one choice for brokers for their personal lines customers.
"Aviva has worked really hard to develop its personal lines offer and we’ve always had great products, which we continue to improve. We have now matched that great cover by introducing more sophisticated pricing that draws on our expertise in the direct market, creating a clearer alignment between direct and broker prices."
Hudson and his team have had constant contact with brokers and have been impressed with their feedback and suggestions: “There’s a real passion from brokers to improve things and work with us to get the very best for their customers. What we want to achieve this year is getting as many of them as possible to access our new pricing, which is working fantastically well where it’s available and will be rolled out further during the course of the year."
Aviva’s personal lines products for brokers that benefit from new pricing are available through two channels; Personal Best, which allows brokers online access to Aviva’s advanced pricing elements via an extranet portal using a broker specific access code, or via a software house, so far, Aviva has teamed up with Insurecom, SSP and is soon to go live with Open GI followed by Acturis and CDL.
