As of 1 September, Aviva Spain has a new director of risk, Juan Vidal, whose extensive career in the financial sector in general, and in Risk and Control in particular, will provide the company with considerable added value.
Having held positions of leadership and responsibility since 1991, Juan Vidal set up the Risk Department at Santander Asset Management UK and, prior to that, was director of risk in the Asset Management Department of Grupo Santander.
With this appointment, Aviva Spain is strengthening the structure of the Risk Department, with a view to ensuring greater functionality and alignment with Aviva Europe. Ignacio Izquierdo, CEO of Aviva Spain, has expressed his satisfaction at having Juan Vidal as a member of the team and executive committee: “His arrival is the culmination of a process that began in April, to strengthen this key area of the Group’s business. I’m convinced that his broad experience and know-how will bring considerable value to the company.”
