Our commitment to corporate responsibility (CR) has been given a boost after this month’s announcement that we’ve again been included in two important indexes on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI).
Our commitment to corporate responsibility (CR) has been given a boost after this month’s announcement that we’ve again been included in two important indexes on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI).
Aviva has been listed in both the DJSI World Index and the DJSI STOXX Index. The DJSI World Index captures only the top 10% of sustainable companies out of the biggest 2,500 companies worldwide, while the DJSI STOXX features only the top 20% of CR performers from 600 European-based companies.
Companies are measured on their economic, environmental and social performance, as well as on issues such as corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labour practices. We’re proud to say that our overall score increased from 65% last year to 74% this year. This places us within reach of the best insurance company score of 81% and well above the insurance average of 49%.
