Pupils at Lubo Primary School in Beijing can look forward to a better choice of reading material, thanks to Aviva-Cofco.

Staff at our Beijing office donated 336 books, 128 notebooks, plus stationery and toys for the school, which serves children of rural workers from remote and deprived areas of China who now earn their living in Beijing.

On 26 November, Aviva-Cofco's Marina Chen and 10 staff delivered the items to the delighted children.

"Devoting resources to education is a traditional CSR activity for us," explains Marian Chen. "We'd like to continue corporation with Lubo Primary School and offer more assistance in the future."

Lubo Primary School is a special project for Aviva-Cofco. In 2007, we helped the school to build the Aviva-Cofco Love Library and donated over 300 books. Since then, the library has moved into a more spacious and bright classroom, thanks to the joint efforts of Aviva-Cofco and the school.

Most importantly, it's now much easier to pupils to borrow the books they enjoy reading.
