Robin Spencer, president and CEO of Aviva Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Haskins to the position of executive vice president claims and procurement, effective 22 September.
Mr Haskins will lead the national claims and procurement operations, including the development of strategies and initiatives that deliver an innovative and differentiated claims experience to Aviva customers.
Mr Haskins possesses strong strategic and leadership skills, customer focus and operations management experience. He joins Aviva Canada after 17 years in the P&C business of two major US insurance companies.
Most recently, he held the position of senior vice president, claims excellence with The Hartford Financial Services Group, based out of Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, he was accountable for leading claims service transformation initiatives designed to drive continuous improvement and build competitive advantage for The Hartford. Prior to joining The Hartford, Jim held increasingly senior roles in regional claims operations for Progressive Insurance. While there, he played a leadership role in the launch of their innovative claims concierge service model.
Mr Haskins holds a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama.
