France: Jean-François Boulier appointed investment director of Aviva Gestion d’Actifs

Aviva France, a major player in life insurance and long-term savings, asset management and general insurance, has announced the appointment of Jean-François Boulier as investment director of Aviva Gestion d’Actifs, a subsidiary of Aviva in France.

Jean-François Boulier, 51, graduate of the École Polytechnique, with a PhD in flow science and a master's degree from the university of Grenoble, began his career in financial services more than 20 years ago when he joined CCF. From 1989 to 1999, he was director of research and innovation there. Parallel to this, from 1996 to 1999, he was also director of market risks. He was subsequently promoted to managing director of Sinopia. In 2002, he joined Crédit Lyonnais Asset Management as assistant executive director, responsible for managing Rates until 2004, when he became responsible for managing Euro and credit rates.

As part of his role as investment director, Jean-François Boulier will also be responsible, along with the chairman, Eric Duval de la Guierce, for continuing to develop techniques for managing market rates and quantum management.
