Aviva, a major player in life insurance and long-term savings, asset management and non-life insurance, announces the appointment of Philippe Achalme as director of human resources.
A graduate of the prestigious Paris business school ESSEC, 50-year-old Philippe Achalme's career is characterised by his experience in different roles and various sectors. After his first job in training and recruitment at BASF France, he worked as a semi-conductor sales representative for Texas Instruments France, then head of development at France Formation. He then joined Spie Batignolles where he was responsible for human resources at the HQ of the Electricity and Nuclear Division, before creating the position of HR and communication manager at Chantiers Modernes Routes.
Next, he spent more than 10 years with Elior Group as HR director, successively for the provincial division of Générale de Restauration, the subsidiary Avenance Enseignement and, lastly, the subsidiary Avenance Enseignement et Santé. From 2005, Philippe Achalme was HR director at France de Conforama (PPR Group).
Philippe Achalme will be in charge of preparing and overseeing Aviva's human resources policy in France, with a particular focus on talent management and the company's commitment to diversity.
