Commenting on the appointment, Allan Griffiths CEO of Aviva Australia, said that awareness of the Aviva brand has been increasing steadily. "This has been driven by our sponsorship of the Aviva Ballkids at the Australian Open and growing market awareness of Aviva as a leading provider of investment, insurance and superannuation."
Aviva is investing a significant amount in developing and increasing awareness of the Aviva brand and what it stands for across the Asia Pacific region.
The regional team from Aviva, representing Australia, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and the UK ran a rigorous pitch process - with the unanimous conclusion that Publicis were the leaders in this field.
"When we decided to appoint an agency we were looking for a team who could understand and bring to life our values and what we stand for. At Aviva we strongly believe that a positive and imaginative approach to financial services will help our customers make the most out of life.
"Aviva is growing strongly across the Asia Pacific region with sales up 34% in the first quarter of 2007. By working together as a region we have pooled our common marketing expertise and achieved material synergies which will enable the campaign to achieve real cut-though.

The campaign will roll-out across the Asia Pacific region in the second half of this year.
