Netherlands: New members of Delta Lloyd group supervisory board

Delta Lloyd NV has appointed Jan Haars and Prof Dr Eric Fischer as new members of the supervisory board and reappointed Drs René Kottman.

Delta Lloyd NV has appointed Jan Haars (54) and Prof Dr Eric Fischer (60) as new members of the supervisory board and reappointed Drs René Kottman (60). The appointments are due to the resignation of the current chairman of the supervisory board, Drs Jacques van Dijk and supervisory board member Drs Caspar Broeksma. Jacques van Dijk and Caspar Broeksma are resigning after the maximum term of three times four years. René Kottman has been appointed as the new chairman of the supervisory board. Jan Haars succeeds Caspar Broeksma as chairman of the audit committee.

Until 1 April 2006, Jan Haars was chief financial officer at TNT. Before that, he was corporate treasurer at Unilever. Jan Haars studied applied mathematics at the University of Twente.

Eric Fischer studied and gained his doctorate at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. Until recently he was managing director of the Dutch Association of Insurers (Verbond van Verzekeraars). He is currently working as a professor by special appointment at the University of Amsterdam and interim managing director of the EIC, the umbrella organisation for European Insurers in Brussels/Paris. He also holds several managerial posts in organisations including the Dutch Economic Research Institute (Stichting Economisch Onderzoek), the Dutch Insurance Science Institute (Stichting Verzekeringswetenschap) and IG&H Management Consultants.

René Kottman has been a member of the supervisory board since 1999 and is currently chairman of the board of Ballast Nedam NV.

All appointments are subject to the approval of the relevant supervisors.
