RAC Auto Windscreens has appointed Mark Hughes as its new managing director.
Previously operations director for Norwich Union Central Services, Mark now heads a seven-strong board of directors at RAC Auto Windscreens, voted the Best Glass Repair Company at the 2006 Fleet News Awards.
"I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead RAC Auto Windscreens during an exciting new phase in the company’s development," said Mark, 50, who joined Norwich Union in 2001 as director of property and facilities.
"RAC Auto Windscreens enters 2006 with an Ł8 million investment in its systems, 28% more mobile automotive glazing technicians and nearly double the amount of call centre operators compared to this time last year. There is huge potential for building on the company’s success and reputation.”
Prior to joining Norwich Union, Mark was principal consultant on the creation of the Amey Lex Consortium (ALC) after a career in the Army which culminated in the role of director of army resources and plans in the Ministry of Defence.
