UK: Peak FM says 'Bra-vo' to RAC Auto Windscreens fundraising

RAC Auto Windscreens call centre agents have raised a whopping £270 for the "bra for Becky" appeal on radio station, Peak FM.

RAC Auto Windscreens call centre agents have raised a whopping Ł270 for the "bra for Becky" appeal on radio station, Peak FM.

Five call centre agents presented the money to Peak FM breakfast show presenter, Sean Goldsmith, in the absence of his co-presenter Becky Measures. Becky has recently undergone a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery after tests showed she had a 90% chance of contracting breast cancer in later life.

The money, which was raised from three dress-down Fridays in the call centre, has been donated to the Genesis Breast Cancer appeal. The appeal is dedicated to building Europe's first Breast Cancer Prevention Centre here in the UK.

Call centre agent Louise Boussobeine, who organised the cash handover to Peak FM’s Sean Goldsmith, said: “This is the first local fundraising appeal that RAC Auto Windscreens call centre agents have worked together to raise money for. We will be doing it every quarter and the agents will nominate the registered charities they wish to donate money towards.

“With more than 160 call centre agents based at RAC Auto Windscreens’ Chesterfield site, we’re confident we can not only build great team spirit but also raise a lot of money for local charities throughout the year.”
