Delta Lloyd Group has leapt up the Top 50 of the 2005 Best Employers Survey of the weekly journal, Intermediair. The group rose from 49th to 21st place. The weekly journal, Intermediair, also carried out a survey into employee satisfaction. Within the Top 25, Delta Lloyd Group is in 18th place. Thus, Delta Lloyd Group is one of the few financial services companies to score highly in both rankings.

One hundred and fourteen large organisations were approached to take part in the Best Employers Survey, of which 64 accepted. Employers had to answer a total of 94 questions on working conditions, as well as absence due to illness, leave arrangements, voluntary work and many other matters. The organisations also participated in the satisfaction survey. Just over 150 people from Delta Lloyd Group were involved in this. The final results are based on job content, atmosphere at work, pressure of work, opportunities for development and job satisfaction. Delta Lloyd Group won many points for job content and atmosphere at work, scoring 7.7 and 7.9 respectively. Delta Lloyd Group’s average score for satisfaction was 7.18.

Delta Lloyd Group carried out its own major employee satisfaction survey of all its employees last February. A total of 3,026 employees completed the questionnaire; a 72% response rate. This survey also showed that employees were satisfied with their job content and immediate environment. On that occasion, it was striking that 95% of employees were (partly) familiar with the core values of Delta Lloyd Group. Eight out of 10 said that they followed them every day. Just over half of employees were encouraged by their managers to put the core values into practice. Six out of 10 employees talked to their colleagues or managers about following the core values. These results prove that the work carried out in the last few years to introduce the core values to employees of Delta Lloyd Group and to integrate them in various policy instruments have been successful.
