France: Aviva schoolchildren's insurance - all this and education too!

Aviva Assurances continues its commitment to supporting education with its schoolchildren’s insurance.

Aviva Assurances continues its commitment to supporting education with its schoolchildren’s insurance.

Three schoolchildren’s insurance plans are available for the new school year, with premiums ranging from €8 to €20. The "Plus" plan, which is very comprehensive, offers a very high level of cover.

We wish to announce a special offer: all holders of GAV (supplementary, indemnity-based disability insurance) policies can take out the "Plus" Plan schoolchildren’s insurance for €1 if they do so by 30 September 2005.

So, for a worry-free start to the new school year, with Aviva’s "Plus" Plan for school children’s insurance, you can benefit from four original services:

  • telephone helpline for advice and guidance on school-related matters
  • comprehensive cover in the event of an assault on the pupil including psychological support, material damage caused to clothes, educational supplies and personal effects as well as the cost of accompanying the child to and from school four times a day for one week
  • childcare (for children aged up to12 years) following an accident or after leaving hospital
  • the cost of a bed for the person staying with the child in hospital

A very useful service: telephone helpline for advice and guidance on school-related matters.

By a simple telephone call, any insured (the pupil or his or her parents) searching for answers to his or her many questions concerning educational guidance can access this service providing advice and guidance on school-related matters thanks to his or her school children’s insurance.

Here are some examples to illustrate this support: information on the conditions for awarding educational bursaries and the steps to take; dealing with disputes between teachers and pupils; advice on coping with behavioural problems in the school environment; the insured can receive advice on how to appeal against a mark in an examination or how to apply for university.

There is also home tutoring, which enables a child who suffers from an illness (which is not chronic) or an accident, to continue his or her schooling within his or her parents’ home, from the 15th day of absence from school, with qualified teachers until he or she returns to school for 15 hours a week.

Of course, there are also the basic covers, which are essential since there are between 10 and 15 000 accidents each year involving school-age children. Schoolchildren’s insurance, which is compulsory for outings, trips or work experience organised by the school, is essential to protect a child, whether he or she is the victim or responsible for accidents.

So, from home to school and throughout all activities in or out of school, depending on the plan, Aviva’s school children’s insurance offers children a full range of covers for everything from third party liability to personal accident and assistance, with no increase in premium in the last 2 years.

Aviva Assurances covers and advises 160,000 pupils from all over France thanks to its dynamic network of 870 general agents.
